What's a Scooper Hero?
- A Scooper Hero is someone who always performs ‘poop & scoop’ when walking their pet.
- A Scooper Hero is someone who offers an extra poop bag to another pet owner who needs one.
- And, a Scooper Hero is a local business that provides a free poop bag for a pet owner in need.
That’s how our Canary Scooper Heroes program works. You’ll note that many Canary District businesses now display a ‘Scooper Hero’ decal on their front window or door. This means that they have poop bags on hand to give one to any pet owner who may need one.

Why It’s Important
- Pet waste contains bacteria & parasites that pose risks to people and pets!
- Pet waste contaminates our soil and water!
- Pet waste just looks and smells bad!
