Toronto Fringe Festival • June 30-July 12 — Ontario's largest performing arts festival is headquartered right next door at Soulpepper Theatre. It's Ontario's largest performing arts festival, featuring comedy, dramas, dance, drag, new musicals, and more. Here's a link to the 2026 Program Guide.
Lavazza IncluCity Festival Under the Stars • June 25-July 19 — Each evening you can head across Cherry Street and enjoy outdoor movies in Distillery District! Click here for details and tickets.
Toronto Outdoor Picture Show • July 2-30 — Join your neighbours in Corktown Common and enjoy eats and treats at 7pm, with the movie starting at sundown, ±9pm. Bring a picnic blanket, folding chair, meditation cushion.... whatever you need to be comfortable hanging out with hundreds of neighbours on a big green lawn. This year's program:

Canary District Yard Sale • September date TBA — Join your neighbours for a fun, sustainable yard sale right in the heart of the Canary District, on the Front Street Promenade between Cooperage Street and Bayview Avenue. Hallowe'en Trick or Treating • October 31 — We always have a fantastic Hallowe'en for the kiddies of all ages, with our Front Street businesses and buildings putting out tables of candy and many residents (including the canine variety) strutting their stuff in costume. Land Acknowledgement
The volunteers of the Canary District Neighbourhood Association acknowledge the original caretakers of the land where we now live – the Wendat, the Haudenosaunee, and the Anishanabek First Nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit. We are committed to honouring and celebrating their presence here in the past, present, and future.
