A neighbourhood is like a vegetable garden: the more thought, energy, and passion you put into it, the more everybody benefits.

If you have any time and energy to offer the community, let us know! Some examples:

Can you be a social media ambassador? This means occasionally posting something relating to the neighbourhood that would be useful, interesting, or beautiful to your neighbours. Channels include Instagram (tagging us at @canary_to) or in our Canary Distriction Neighbourhood Association Facebook Group.
Can you help with outreach? This means reaching out to your own friends and neighbours in the community with information about local issues.
Can you help out at events? This could mean helping to pick up trash during a neighbourhood cleanup, or digging and planting in a new garden, or drawing a sign for an event.
Can you help with advocacy? This means staying updated on City and neighbourhood issues by attending meetings or information sessions and passing information along to other community members, or writing letters or emails to relevant politicians.
Can you help with specific projects? This means spending a few hours a month in meetings and activities relating to specific projects, such as those described here. Tell us which one in the comments.
