On October 31, 2025
between 6:00 and 7:30 PM
neighbourhood kids can trick-or-treat
down the Front Street Promenade
BONUS: Dog costume parade at 5:30 sign up here
Businesses and buildings will be putting out trick-or-treat stations all along Front Street.
How to participate
Families
Families with kids age 0-14 are invited to visit participating businesses and buildings along Front Street between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM on October 31. Kids in costumes will receive treats: usually small wrapped candies, sometimes other goodies like stickers. Each child should bring a small bag to carry their treats away. Participating businesses will be clearly marked with a sign.
To trick or treat, just approach the station (or enter the business) and say, “Trick or treat!” The person at the business will drop one or two treats into each child’s bag. There will be many stations along Front Street to visit!
A map of all participating businesses/buildings will also be provided: if you’d like to receive one, please email [email protected].
Businesses and Buildings
First, email us to make sure we know you're participating, and we'll give you a sign and put you on the map. Then have treats ready in your shop between 6-7:30 PM October 31. To step this up, you could put a table out in the street by your door, and have someone supervise treat distribution and chat with folks who come by. You could even decorate your shop and supervise treats in costume! Benefits: great community engagement, plus you can get a good look at all those cute costumes.
Dogs and Their Humans
Sign up here to enter your dog! (You can also sign up when you arrive.) Dogs in costume assemble with their humans assemble by the Water Guardians (by 474 Front St. E.) at 5:30. Judging will be at 5:45, with prizes and a parade at 6 🐶
Guidelines
- Trick or treaters must be in costume
- Kids under 12 should be accompanied by an adult
- If your child has allergies be sure to check their treats carefully before allowing them to eat them
- Have fun!
The Treats
Treats are traditionally small candies, may also be non-food treats like stickers, cute erasers, tiny pencils/markers/art supplies.
- Food items should be manufacturer-wrapped (no home-made or unwrapped treats).
- Be aware of allergens; at the very minimum all treats should be peanut-free.
It’s up to the child’s parents or guardian to examine treats at the end of the evening to make sure they are appropriate for the child. Any inappropriate treats (e.g. with an allergen) should be discarded.
